Stop Wrinkles Before They Start with Filler

Filler vitamin are a cosmetic treatment used to smooth wrinkles or pitted scars in the skin, usually on the face. They are also used to make the lips fuller. When vitamin under the skin, a filler raises or puffs up that area. This usually goes away over time.

Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent.

The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity, and lifestyle.

Dermal fillers can be used to:

·         Plump thin lips

·         Enhance shallow contours

·         Soften facial creases and wrinkles

·         Improve the appearance of recessed scars

Dermal fillers can be very helpful in those with early signs of aging, or as a value-added part of facial rejuvenation surgery.

Skin Anatomy

Most soft tissue fillers have a temporary effect, because they contain materials that are absorbed by the body over time. The FDA has approved only one product made from a material that remains in the body and is not absorbed. Some soft tissue fillers also contain lidocaine, which is intended to decrease pain or discomfort related to the vitamin.

The materials used in soft tissue fillers include:

Absorbable (temporary) materials

·         Collagen: Collagen is a type of protein that is a major part of skin and other tissues in the body. Sources of purified collagen used in soft tissue fillers can be from cow (bovine) or human cells. The effects of collagen fillers generally last for 3-4 months. They are the shortest lasting of vitamin filler materials.

·         Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is a type of sugar (polysaccharide) that is present in body tissues, such as in skin and cartilage. It is able to combine with water and swell when in gel form, causing a smoothing/filling effect. Sources of hyaluronic acid used in dermal fillers can be from bacteria or rooster combs (avian). In some cases, hyaluronic acid used in dermal fillers is chemically modified (crosslinked) to make it last longer in the body. The effects of this material last approximately 6 – 12 months.

·         Calcium hydroxylapatite: Calcium hydroxylapatite is a type of mineral that is commonly found in human teeth and bones. For wrinkle filling in the face or for the hand, calcium hydroxylapatite particles are suspended in a gel-like solution and then vitamin into the wrinkle in the face or under the skin in the back of the hand. The effects of this material last approximately 18 months. While in the body, calcium hydroxylapatite will be visible in x-rays and may obscure underlying features.

·         Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA): PLLA is a biodegradable, biocompatible man-made polymer. This material has wide uses in absorbable stitches and bone screws. PLLA is a long lasting filler material that is given in a series of vitamin over a period of several months. The effects of PLLA generally become increasingly apparent over time (over a period of several weeks) and its effects may last up to 2 years.

Non-absorbable (permanent) materials

·         Polymethylmethacrylate beads (PMMA microspheres): PMMA is a non-biodegradable, biocompatible, man-made polymer. This material is used in other medical devices, such as bone cement and intraocular lenses. PMMA beads are tiny, round, smooth particles that are not absorbed by the body. When used as a soft tissue filler, PMMA beads are suspended in a gel-like solution that contains cow (bovine) collagen and vitamin into the face.

Some doctors use fillers that are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Check with your doctor when deciding which treatment is right for you. For some fillers, your skin is first numbed with a local anesthetic. Then a cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist uses a needle to vitamin the filler under the skin. A treatment session takes about 15 minutes. Some fillers are done in repeat sessions a couple of weeks apart.

Cheeks are almost always the first part of the face which sags and ‘sinks’ giving us a tired and very aged look. By filling the cheeks with dermal fillers, it instantly lifts the face, removing years from your face, giving you a more youthful look. By filling the cheeks, dark eye circles and eyebags can also be reduced drastically.

Nose Filler

As in any medical procedure, there are risks involved with the use of soft tissue fillers. That is why it is important for you to understand their limits and possible risks.

Any soft tissue filler can cause long-term side effects, permanent side effects, or both. However, most side effects associated with soft tissue fillers happen shortly after vitamin and most go away in less than two weeks. Swelling and pain after hand treatment may last a month or more. In some cases side effects may appear weeks, months or years after injection.

Allergy testing is required for particular types of filler materials, such as those taken from animals (e.g., cows, rooster combs).

The following risks are for FDA-approved uses of Soft Tissue Fillers. The risks associated with unapproved uses are not known.

·         Bruising

·         Redness

·         Swelling

·         Pain

·         Tenderness

·         Itching, rash

·         Difficulty in performing activities (only observed when injected into the back of the hand)

Less common side effects include:

·         Raised bumps in or under the skin (nodules or granulomas) that may need to be surgically removed

·         vitamin

·         Open or draining wounds

·         A sore at the injection site

·         Allergic reaction

·         Necrosis (tissue death)

The following rare side effects have also been reported to FDA:

·         Severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) that requires immediate emergency medical assistance

·         Migration/ movement of filler material from the site of vitamin

·         Leakage or rupture of the filler material at the vitamin site or through the skin (which may result from tissue reaction or infection)

·         The formation of permanent hard nodules in the face or hand

·         Vision abnormalities, including blindness

·         Stroke

·         Injury to the blood supply, 

·         Damage to the skin or the lips

If you choose to have these fillers removed through surgery, you may experience the same adverse events typically associated with surgery. You should be aware that it may be difficult to remove the filler material.

Thread Lift & V Shape

 V – Shaped Face

A  V-Shaped face or also known as V-Line face shape is referred individuals that has a slim and oval face that narrows down to a sharp end at the chin. it is the hottest trend amongst women today.

The V-shaped face is ideal as it tends to make the face look more feminine. A lot of celebrities are known to have a V-shaped face and some even seek the help of plastic surgery by using fillers to have their jaws shaped into V-shaped and in some cases a Reconstructive surgery is required. There are different ways to achieve a V-shaped face. Medical Specialists can analyze which method is the best one for you. These include the:

Breakdown of fat in the facial area

•Lipolysis  Vitamin (Meso Fat) – is a medical procedure by melting and removing unwanted fatty deposits on the body and facial areas. A Lipolysis treatment consists of lipolytic application with micro vitamin directly into the fatty tissue of the treated region. This method should be done several times between 3-5 times, but this does not help in sagging skin area.

Acculift or Accusculpt – the AccuSculpt laser is used to reduce or eliminate “jowling” (sagging of the skin on and around the cheeks and jaw area) of the lower face and to contour the area under the chin. The goal is to restore the youthful jaw and neck lines and eliminate the pear shape of the aging face while helping to re-establish the apple shape of a more youthful face. This method is easily done under just local anesthesia and involves only a few small needle punctures. After the treatment areas are anesthetized the AccuSculpt laser fiber is inserted through a needle puncture. As laser energy is delivered to the fatty tissue in the treatment areas the fat breaks up and goes from a solid to a partial liquid state called an emulsion. The treated fat is then removed with a small liposuction cannula attached to a small syringe.

•Radiofrequency (RF) - is a technology for non-surgical tightening of the early signs of loose or sagging skin. It is primarily used to treat skin laxity by facial tightening, and is best suited for patients with mild to moderate sagging of facial tissues with any skin color.

•Thread lift (PDO)

•Lower Jaw Botox – Botox Cosmetic can be used quite effectively in jaw slimming. This well described technique is effective in narrowing of the lower facial width in patients with pronounced or hypertrophic masseter muscles. These patients tend to have a square jaw or increased lower facial width.  The net result of Botox use in the masseter muscle is a more youthful triangulation of the face better emulating the “triangle of youth”. Additionally, with long-term use of Botox, jaw bone remodeling along the external aspect of the mandibular angle is seen in the relaxed or diminished state of the masseter muscle , manifesting in a thinner jaw bone over time.

•Nefertiti Lift - With the application of botox and dermal fillers we can tighten the loose skin around the jawline, tighten the aging “turkey neck” look, and remove jowling by filling the lost volume in the area. Aging around the jawline and the neck are the main reasons why some women look older than they actually are and with this procedure, which we call the “Nefertiti lift”, we can very effectively tighten the skin and replace the volume in the area, and give the appearance that a non-surgical face lift has been performed.By vitamin botox around the jawline into a thin muscle called the Platysma, with relax the muscle, so that muscles on the upper face become stronger and they in this way perform a non surgical lift upwards.The procedure lasts only 4-5 minutes, it is painless, and there are no side-effects.

•Chin Filler Vitamin – For short or stubby chin. Chin filler augmentation can create a more defined shape of the chin– not only able to bring the chin forward for those with receding chins (retrognathia) but also make it sharper and/or longer for those with short, small chins (micrognathia). This can give the face the ideal V shaped face everyone desires.

A thread lift, also known as a suture lift or stitch lift, is a non-surgical alternative to having a surgical face or neck lift. It uses threads, which are specialised suture material, to lift the skin of the face to a more youthful and favourable position. It can be done with much less downtime, discomfort, and risk than a surgical procedure. Thread lifts induce a long term lift in the skin.

Areas that can be treated with Threads are :
1. Reduce jowls
2. Define the jawline and angle of the jaw
3. Reduce double chin and sagging skin below chin
4. Cheek lift
5. Reduce eye bag and undereye wrinkles
6. Reduce crows feet and eye lift
7. Brow lift and reduce upper eyelid droop
8. Reduce fine lines on forehead
9. Reduce nasolabial folds (smile lines)
10.Reduce downward folds at corner of mouth

Using fine threads that are commonly used in general surgery (but three times thinner), this anti-wrinkle face lifting treatment works on the concept of bio-modulation from inside the epidermis. It lifts the skin from the lower cheek and corner of mouth to the temples. The threads are inserted into the targeted areas using a small needle to stimulate fibroblasts. Collagen will then be stimulated and activated till the embedded thread is completely absorbed.

The thread is approved by American FDA and is made of safe material which can be safely and completely absorbed by a human body. This results in tissue remodelling that creates a tightening effect from inside out. When skin is tightened, it creates a more sculpted ‘V-shape’ silhouette and smoother skin.

The procedure uses dissolvable threads or sutures that have been used in surgeries for many years. The procedure involves the insertion of the dissolvable threads underneath the skin.

The thread lift essentially aims to restore the structure of the face by tightening / pulling up the skin at the cheekbone area, brow, jowls, and upper neck. The amounting of lifting achieved is dependent on the number of threads used and the way they are placed underneath the skin.

Anyone between 30 and 60 years of age will be suitable for non-surgical Thread Lift procedure. The main determining factor will be your skin condition.

A full face thread lifting can also tighten up your skin, giving it more lift and reducing the appearance of sagging skin due to aging. Being a very safe and effective treatment with threads approved by the KFDA , this treatment is the perfect treatment for anyone.  The procedure lasts about 30 minutes to an hour.  Immediately following the procedure, you will be able to see immediate shaping and lifting. The results will then improve over time as your collagen builds up.

The threads take about 6-8 months to be fully absorbed. However, as it builds up your own collagen, results will last for about 1-2 years. Following that, a second treatment can be done with results lasting you up to 5 years.
